Arrival Buenos Aires - Ola Amigos 29th October

We've arrived safely in Buenos Aires after a 14-hour flight. We always said this trip was going to be budget and we got off to a good start in that department. Aerolineas Argentinas is like if Tiger Airways was our national carrier. A single drop-down screen for entertainment and service with a snarl. But you get what you pay for and we arrived in one piece so that's a bonus!
The hostel is in the middle of the city in an area called San Telmo, known for its cobbled streets and tango halls. Looking forward to checking out a tango show tomorrow and exploring the area. The hostel itself is basic but comfortable, shower was bliss.
It seems few Argentinians speak English - even those in the service industries - so that has already been a challenge. At least it's quite similar to Italian so have been thinking back to primary school language classes!
